JANSZ x Jamin

Following the success of the Eloise Lark collaboration, Jansz Tasmania committed to making artist partnerships an annual program. For the 2020 season, they selected Jamin, the working name of Dr. Benjamin Kluss, a Tasmanian street and mural artist with a PhD in Fine Art from the University of Tasmania and an active international practice. The choice was deliberate: where Eloise Lark worked in layered digital illustration, Jamin brought a different visual language rooted in large-scale public art.

Unlike the previous collaboration, where existing artwork was adapted, Jamin was commissioned to create a bespoke piece for Jansz. The work, titled 'Emerging Anew', drew from the flora and fauna of the Jansz vineyards, including the Flame Robin and Hardenbergia, and was conceived not only as packaging artwork but as a permanent installation for the new Jansz Tasmania winery. The packaging became the commercial expression of a piece of art that would outlast the season.

The brief required a gift box and a Rosé label and hood, adapting Jamin's commissioned artwork across both substrates for the Christmas gifting window. The packaging was distributed across Australian, US and UK markets, supported by PR and social activity reinforcing the ongoing Tasmanian artist series.

The collaboration continued to build the story Jansz had started with Eloise Lark, and demonstrated that the series could evolve across different artistic disciplines without losing its identity. Jansz Tasmania returned the following year, commissioning Daniel Gray-Barnett for the 2022 season
