TIGI Catwalk
TIGI Catwalk Session Series was designed as a professional-only styling range, tools for hairdressers to recreate runway and editorial looks they see in magazines and on screen. The brief was unambiguous: exclusive, minimalist, high performance, not gimmicky. The packaging needed to feel like it belonged backstage at a fashion week, not on a retail shelf.
The result was a nine-SKU range (tubes, pump bottles, spray and tin) unified by an all-black, white typography aesthetic that communicated professional credibility without demanding attention. A quiet nod to the backstage world the products are built for.
The final design direction drew from several of the inital the concepts, anchored by one strong idea: the label references a film negative. The graphic language of darkroom contact sheets and photography strips is inseparable from fashion editorial, and it gave the range a visual logic that was both specific and ownable.
